The Australian Baking Industry National Scholarship Awards are available to all individuals involved in the Australian baking industry.
The Awards offer Pastrycooks & Bakers the opportunity to have their say in what they know and what they think about the Australian Baking Industry.
The awards form two separate scholarship categories:
The Arthur E Denison Trophy is designed for individuals aged 25 years and over. Entrants are required to research and submit a written paper on one of 4 selected industry topics as nominated in their Entry Kit.
The Sydney J Packham (OAM) Baking Industry Medal is designed for the 18 to 24 year age group. These contestants are required to research and answer a series of 16 questions covering a broad cross section of baking industry products & practices. Each entrant’s answers are then sent to a panel of independent judges for assessment.
The contestants with the highest scoring papers in both categories will be presented their awards and prizes at a gala dinner presented by The Australian Society of Baking, in conjunction with Event Partner EOI.
The winners will receive trophies and overseas scholarship trips.
